Why choose the masterclass Positive Psychology for Managers?
Jobs have become increasingly cross-functional and dynamic. This means that employees are required to develop an all-round skill-set of competences that can be used in multiple areas on the work floor. In other words, organisations and managers have high expectations of their employees. But how can they keep them motivated and committed in the current job market, where new generations of employees are increasingly restless in their careers and job-hopping is more pervasive than ever?
What will you learn?
After this masterclass Positive Psychology for Managers, you will:
- understand the difference between a competence-based and a strength-based approach, and how these approaches can complement each other.
- have reflected on your own strengths and how to optimally use them in your organisation.
- be able to apply different methods, such as Appreciative Inquiry, to understand and develop your employees’ strengths.
- be able to use their strengths to advance both their own and the teams’ development.
- be able to stimulate psychological capital in your team.
- develop a personal network of professionals with similar interests.
This masterclass is particularly relevant for professionals with an interest in human development: those who work in HR or are a (middle) manager, coach or team coordinator. This masterclass is designed for professionals that care about soft skills and believe that motivated employees will boost their organisations’ performance. Ideally, you have some experience in managing or coordinating teams.
